With more than 50 flavors to choose from, including the stand’s own unique creations such as Monkey Snot, Wedding Cake and Motor Oil, Tropical Moose – more affectionately known as “Tro Mo” – is considered St. Louis’ premier sno-cone stand. Guests can customize their favorite flavored ice with Nerds, sprinkles, whipped cream, sweet cream, or pop rocks (Volcano, anyone?), and Tro Mo offers meaty-flavored “Canine Coolers” as well, so don’t forget to bring your pup along!

A bright blue, cash-only stand in the parking lot of the old Sappington Farmers’ Market, Glaciers Snow Cones serves snow cones in small to jumbo sizes, with optional additions such as a “secret” liquid sweet cream, whipped cream, ice cream, and even Irish cream syrup. Choose from a variety of Glaciers’ unique flavors, such as Pink Champagne, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Root Beer, and the classic Rainbow. Sugar-free flavors, sour flavors and cream specials are available as well.

Murray’s Shaved Ice (though previously under a different name and different ownership) has been a South St. Louis landmark since 1953 – and to this day uses the same smooth shaved ice and the same original syrup recipe. Murray’s offers all the classic sno-cone flavors, plus a few unique flavors such as Cotton Candy, Red Hot and Cherry Cheesecake.

Enjoy your Hawaiian shaved ice with a side of mini golf (even better – it’s all you can play) at Aloha Pitch N Putt! For flavors you can’t get anywhere else, opt for the Spongebob, Barbie or Ninja Turtle.
