Celebrate Women’s History Month at Jefferson National Expansion Memorial
Film series and ranger programs highlight March events
Special public program on March 15
WHAT: In celebration of Women’s History Month, throughout March the National Park Service is hosting commemorative ranger programs, special events and film screenings that spotlight the historic contributions of women who shaped the history of the United States. All programs are free and open to the public.
All month long, “Do You Know Any Women Like These?” special exhibit will on display in the Museum of Westward Expansion and depicts how 19th-century women of the American Frontier embodied similar characteristics to those of today’s women. Also, visitors can take part in a special scavenger hunt, where they will explore history and search for clues about women in the west in the Museum of Westward Expansion. All are welcome to participate, and scavenger hunt programs are available at the information desk.
