Free Summer Fun in STL
Summer is (unofficially) here, and what better time to see and appreciate all that our city has to offer (for free!)? Check out some of the area’s best upcoming events and daily activities:
Health & Wellness Series: Thursdays through September 21 at Kiener Plaza
Get your sweat on at Kiener Plaza this summer through the Gateway Arch’s Summer Health and Wellness series. The weekly rotation of fitness events features cardio dance, high intensity bootcamp and yoga.

Join St. Louis Public Library’s Summer Reading Program
Through SLPL’s Summer Reading Program, kids and teens can discover new interests, win prizes and open their eyes to new possibilities. To complete the program, kids and teens must read five chapter books or 15 picture books – you can even participate as a class or club!
Free Summer Yoga Series: Select Wednesdays through September (June 7 and 21; July 12 and 19; August 2, 16 and 30; September 6 and 20), 6 p.m. at Ballpark Village
Grab your yoga mat and find your zen with a free yoga session outdoors on the Busch II Infield at Ballpark Village. Sessions are led by instructors from Yoga Buzz and are open to all ages, levels and abilities. Register here. Yogis can also enjoy a rise and shine flow at the new Kiener Plaza on select Thursday mornings through the Summer Health and Wellness series.
Life Outside Festival: June 10, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sailboat Cove in Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park
The Life Outside Festival brings together area businesses, nonprofits and clubs to offer activities for people of all ages. Attendees can see, try and learn ways to spend more of their lives outside. Free activities include tree climbing, kayaking lessons, birdwatching, rock climbing, stand up paddle boarding, nature crafts and activities for kids, walks and bike rides throughout the day, gardening and yoga. Fair Saint Louis: July 2, 3 and 4, 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. (Sunday and Tuesday) or 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (Monday) at Forest Park
Celebrate the Fourth of July at America’s Biggest Birthday Party in St. Louis’ own Forest Park – also known as one of the country’s best urban parks. From the concerts on the #FairSTL Stage to the human slingshot and the nightly fireworks, Fair Saint Louis is a party you don’t want to miss. And don’t forget about America’s Birthday Parade through downtown St. Louis on July 1 to kick off the holiday weekend.
Festival of Nations: August 26, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and August 27, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Tower Grove Park
Featuring ethnic food booths, non-stop dance and music, arts and crafts, and an international bazaar with unique gifts from around the world, the Festival of Nations has grown to become the region’s premier multicultural celebration.

From the Missouri History Museum to the Camp River Dubois Lewis & Clark Illinois State Historic Site to the Contemporary Art Museum of St. Louis to the Old Courthouse, you can spend days exploring our city’s rich history.
