Gateway Arch National Park Announces “Gateway to the Stars” Stargazing Events
The stars may be light-years away, but you can get a close-up peek at them right here in St. Louis. Saturday, April 28 and Saturday, May 26, head to Gateway Arch National Park for a special stargazing experience. Meet at the South Leg of the Gateway Arch at 8 p.m. for two twilight ranger-led interpretive talks. Weather permitting, guests can view craters on the Moon, the planet Venus, and other celestial objects via telescope at the South Leg, led by volunteers from the St. Louis Astronomical Society until 10 p.m.
The ranger-led talks will be held unless there is heavy rain. The telescope viewing may be cancelled if skies are cloudy. Call 314-655-1750, ext. 472 the afternoon of the event for an update on the weather.
