Give Back to Local Parks on #GivingTuesday
#GivingTuesday is November 27 – a global day of giving celebrated each year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. This year, give back to your local community by donating to one of the many organizations that support the Gateway Arch.
Jefferson National Parks Association
Jefferson National Parks Association operates both the Arch Store and the Old Courthouse store at Gateway Arch National Park, generating revenue that helps maintain and enhance educational programs, exhibits and public events for the park’s millions of annual visitors. Specifically at the Gateway Arch, JNPA connects kids to the wonders of our parks by supporting scout programs, summer camps, outdoor adventure activities and museum education programs.
Give back to your local parks (JNPA also supports Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site in St. Louis, as well as several others throughout the Midwest) by becoming a Partner of the Parks, making a one-time or recurring monthly donation or shopping online or in its stores.
Gateway Arch Park Foundation
The Gateway Arch Park Foundation’s mission is to ensure that the Gateway Arch, its grounds, neighboring public spaces and attractions will remain a vital, welcoming and well-supported resource for the community and nation for generations to come. Founded in 2009 to support and coordinate a project to connect, invigorate and expand the Arch Grounds, the Foundation is a conservancy that collaborates with partners to operate and maintain the improvements made through the CityArchRiver project.
You can support the Foundation by becoming a Member. Various membership levels are available, and members receive many extra perks and benefits in addition to helping keep the renewed Gateway Arch grounds fresh and exciting.
Great Rivers Greenway
Great Rivers Greenway makes the St. Louis region a more vibrant place to live, work and play by developing a dynamic network of greenways to connect people to their rivers, parks and communities. Whenever you visit the Gateway Arch park grounds and walk along the riverfront, for example, you are enjoying a 15-mile stretch of the Mississippi River Greenway, which runs from downtown St. Louis to the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge.
Support the greenways and help St. Louisans continue to live life outside by becoming a Greenway Friend or making a one-time or recurring monthly donation to the Great Rivers Greenway Foundation.
National Park Foundation
The National Park Foundation, celebrating 50 years in 2018, is the official charitable partner of the National Park Service. The Foundation enriches America’s national parks and programs through the support of private citizens, park lovers, stewards of nature, history enthusiasts and wilderness adventurers.
Your gift to the National Park Foundation will help it continue to protect some of the world’s most treasured landscapes, ecosystems and historical sites – including Gateway Arch National Park – for generations to come.
