Opening Day Watch Parties
Can you feel it in the air? Baseball season has returned, and the Cardinals take the field once more starting tonight. If you’re lucky, you’ll be clad in red and white cheering along with the crowds in Busch Stadium.
But if you’re not so lucky, there are plenty of other fun ways to take in the game. Here are a few of our favorites spot to watch America’s pastime downtown:
360 Rooftop
The bar with one of the best views downtown hosts its annual Rooftop Rally party. Attendees will enjoy baseball-inspired cocktails and snacks and plenty of Cardinals-themed surprises. KTRS will also be broadcasting live from 360 Rooftop.
Ballpark Village
Ballpark Village is hosting an all-day prep rally to celebrate opening day. Events start at 10 a.m. Kegs and Eggs, the annual Opening Day party hosted by KMOX, takes place from 1 to 5 p.m. The festivities don’t stop until after post-game, when DJ Todd Thomas takes the outdoor Busch II Infield Stage and a Dance Floor Riot rages on the indoor FOX Sports Midwest Live! Stage.
Llwelyn’s in Soulard
Head to this Soulard favorite for a day of opening day festivities. The pre-party will include drink specials and $5 bar snacks. If you have tickets, Llwelyn’s also offers a tree trolley to the stadium. During the game, the Big 590 will do a live remote, and there will be a raffle for exciting prizes, including Cardinals/Cubs rooftop tickets. Stick around for the after-party featuring drink specials and a DJ.
Start Bar
Starting at noon, Start Bar hosts a bottomless brunch block party. The party extends well into the evening with ladies’ night specials and four DJs.
The Wheelhouse
Enjoy bottomless mimosas with brunch or lunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Wheelhouse. DJs will spin tunes all day long and late into the early morning. Opening day also marks the first time the bar’s new patio is open.
