Q&A with Arch Call Center Agent Tatiana Jones
As a Gateway Arch Call Center Agent, Tatiana Jones has the opportunity to speak with guests from all over the world and help them plan their visits to the Arch. Here’s what she loves about working at the Arch.
Q: Why did you chose to work at the Gateway Arch?
A: I chose to work at the Arch because this is the landmark of our city, I love our city. Everyone should want to work here. This is where you meet everyone from every city, every country, every state. You meet everyone from everywhere and you get to represent our city as a whole.
Q: What is your most memorable experience at the Arch?
A: My most memorable experience is that I really love my coworkers. We do some really nice things for each other. Last year we did a Secret Santa. There was an occasion where I helped a guest get tram tickets. she was crying hysterically because we were sold out. I watched the tickets like a hawk and was able to get her some. She was really excited.
Q: What do you love most about your job?
A: I love the fact that I get to work with guest all day. I am a people person and I love meeting new people and talking to new people. And even if I don’t get to see them, I can feel their personalities through phone calls. It’s really nice to meet some of the sweetest people in the world.
Q: How do you feel about representing the face of St. Louis?
A: I really hope I’m doing the greatest job. I really want everyone to know that this city is great. We have this national landmark. You should want to visit here!
Q: How would you convince a friend to work at the Gateway Arch?
A: You’re answering the phone and talking to some of the sweetest people in the world. You’re making sure everyone gets to have the chance to have this great experience, even if it’s just once in their lifetime.
