St. Louis Fun on the Fourth!
Hey, St. Louis: How are you celebrating America’s birthday this year?
If you are feeling patriotic, join us July 3 at the Old Courthouse for a Naturalization Ceremony, which will kick off with live music at noon. The ceremony, where our newest citizens recite the Oath of Allegiance, will follow at 1 pm.
And back at the Arch: Even with road construction downtown, the Arch is open! Enjoy a tram ride to the top, stay cool touring the Museum of Westward Expansion, catch an Arch movie in the Tucker or Odyssey theaters, and pick up a piece of homemade fudge at the Levee Mercantile. (Can you say YUM?)
And while the Arch grounds aren’t hosting Fair Saint Louis this year, we are still so excited for the festivities that are set to take place in Forest Park. Be sure to check out all of this year’s FREE fair events, including the annual VP parade, a 4-mile run, and musical acts, including:
Thursday, July 3: Thompson Square, The Band Perry
Friday, July 4: Mary Lambert, Gavin DeGraw, Matt Nathanson, Bonnie Raitt
Saturday, July 5: Capital Cities, The Neighbourhood, The Fray
And let’s not forget the best part about the Fourth of July and Fair Saint Louis, the FIREWORKS, which close the event each night. You can find out all the details of this year’s Fair St. Louis fete at fairsaintlouis.org.
If you’re in for another American tradition, catch the Cardinals as they take on the Miami Marlins at Busch Stadium July 4, 5 and 6.
No matter how you toast to the Fourth, all of us at the Gateway Arch Experience wish you a safe, happy and FUN Fourth of July. And happy birthday to YOU, America!
