Lantern Festival: Magic Reimagined
Missouri Botanical Garden, St. Louis

Celebrating the Garden’s ongoing botanical research in China, enjoy 22 all-new sets crafted from silk and steel once again offer visitors from around the world the opportunity to experience an event rarely staged outside of Asia. (Prices change in August.)
First Fridays at the Science Center: NASA New Horizons–to Pluto!

Learn the real science behind science fiction. Features free hands-on activities and culminates with a free 10pm screening of a classic science fiction move in the OMNIMAX® Theater. Tickets for the free 10pm show are available starting at 6pm on the evening of the First Friday event and are distributed on a first come, first served basis. First Friday activities such as presentations, sci-fi trivia, 10pm sci-fi film, etc. are primarily designed for adults and recommended for audiences 16 years and older.

Enjoy an outdoor movie night on the iconic Art Hill in Forest Park! The St. Louis Art Museum hosts its fith annual Outdoor Film Series, featuring Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Funny Face, Field of Dreams and Meet Me in St. Louis. In addition to live music entertainment pre-film, guests can enjoy food trucks or bring their own picnic.

Join the Butterfly House for firefly crafts, a firefly-themed snack, and firefly games. Then, experience the magical Conservatory glow walks as the inside of the Butterfly House is lit with twinkling lights. Wrap up the evening by joining staff on an outdoor journey to see real fireflies. (Bring one flashlight per person.)
