It’s no secret that the food scene in the Lou is off the charts. And while everyone has been spending more time at home lately, cooking may have become a hassle. Take that chore off your plate… and load it up with some of the awesome options from these great downtown STL restaurants. Most are open for dine-in, but the option for take-out is always available! Try a few – or all – of them out this weekend!
Paddlewheel Café | 50 S. Leonor K. Sullivan Blvd.
It’s St. Louis’ only riverside dining destination: Located on the dock of the Riverboats at the Gateway Arch, the Paddlewheel Café offers delicious fare alongside incredible views of downtown St. Louis and the sweeping Mississippi River. Tableside service has been established on the dock to ensure café goers follow proper social distancing guidelines. Find a full menu and hours of operation here. Lombardo’s Trattoria | 201 S. 20th St.
Located on the lower lever of the Drury Inn near Union Station, Lombardo’s Trattoria specializes in signature pastas, hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood, and excellent chicken dishes. They are open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday and their full menu can be found here.
Pharaoh’s Donuts | 202 N. 9th St.
Amon Aziz and his daughter, Syeeda Aziz-Morris have been baking donuts for nearly 25 years. After a recent location change, they are open and ready to supply STL with some sugary goodness. Stop in and grab a dozen… or two. See the sweet shots for yourself on their Facebook page.

Sen Thai-Asian Bistro | 1000 Washington Ave.
Immerse yourself in the Thai-Asian culture at Sen. For nearly 20 years, they’ve been serving up authentic Thai food in STL under the belief that the best way to understand a new culture is through food. They’re open for dine-in and take-out and their sprawling menu can be found here.
Sugarfire Smoke House | 605 Washington Ave.
A St. Louis favorite located right in the heart of downtown. Sugarfire is open for dine-in, carry-out or delivery. Their mouthwatering menu is sure to please – check it out here.
